Lisa Faire's award-winning photography images have been featured in publications, exhibited in galleries, municipal buildings, prestigious art shows, and the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. She is also a writer who co-authored Clermont: From Gem of the Hills to Choice of Champions published in 2019. Her articles have been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul and Growing Bolder Magazine.
A University of Florida graduate and five-generation native Floridian, Lisa Faire grew up in the same area where her ancestors established a homestead during the 1800s.
As a fine art photographer, she captures yesteryear scenes and subjects which she reimagines into new pictorial narratives by employing various artistic editing techniques and painterly effects. Many of her images feature classic vehicles, vintage objects, and unique architectural aspects of old buildings.
"During my 20-year-career in the defense industry, I supported projects which help keep our military men and women safe. I know first-hand what it means to serve on teams pooling their skills and talents together in designing and building products to benefit others," she explains. "My technical career actually trained my artistic eye to seek out manufacturing features and design characteristics of the past, which can still be glimpsed in the most dilapidated of subjects, despite the ravages of time and the elements."
Capturing God's mighty hand at work in nature is also one of Lisa Faire's greatest joys, and she loves to pair Bible verses with her images as a means of sharing with others. She encourages fellow artists, writers and would-be creatives to fulfill the artistic calling God has chosen especially for them.
